“Ukraine Consolidates Gains in South, Says Troops”

Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister, Hanna Maliar, announced on Thursday that Ukrainian troops have successfully reclaimed territory in the country’s south. Several settlements, including Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Novopokrovka, have been captured by Kyiv’s forces, according to Maliar.

It’s important to note that CNN cannot independently verify battlefield reports from either side of the conflict.

Additionally, Maliar stated that Ukraine continues to maintain an offensive posture south of Orikhiv, focusing on areas surrounding the cities of Melitopol and Berdiansk.

Maliar mentioned that the enemy is redeploying units and utilizing all available reserves. However, due to the daily destruction of enemy equipment depots by Ukrainian soldiers, the frequency of enemy attacks has slightly decreased.

In eastern Ukraine, Maliar reported that Ukrainian units are advancing to the south of the city of Bakhmut but encountering strong resistance from Russian forces. Heavy fighting is also taking place around the cities of Kupyansk, Lyman, Avdiivka, and Marinka, involving Ukrainian troops.
