Mickey 17, the next movie from Parasite director Bong Joon-ho, will be released in 2024 – BDStory

You’ll have to wait a while to see Parasite director Bong Joon-ho’s next project. The sci-fi movie, called Mickey 17will hit theaters on March 29, 2024. The news was revealed via the shortest teaser trailers, which features star Robert Pattinson hanging out shirtless in some sort of tube.

The movie is based on the novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton, which is about a “disposable worker” searching for an icy new world for human habitation (no word yet on where all the extra Mickeys came from). Playing alongside Pattinson is Steven Yeun (no, Okay), Naomi Ackie (The Rise of Skywalker), Tony Collette (Knives out), and Mark Ruffalo (anything with the incredible Hulk in it). Outside of the cast, Joon-ho has also teamed up with some notable names behind the camera on this film, including production designer Fiona Crombie (Cruella), costume designer Catherine George (Okay, Snow piercer), and Dan Glass, a visual effects supervisor known for his work on the Matrix movies.

It will probably be a while before we see a proper trailer for it Mickey 17though, as Warner Bros. says, the film is currently in production.
