Kanye West suspended from Twitter after posting a swastika – BDStory

Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, was suspended from Twitter shortly after posting an image of a swastika in the Star of David. Twitter CEO Elon Musk confirmed the suspension late Thursday, noting that Ye had “again violated our rule against inciting violence.”

Twitter’s suspension comes nearly two months after Twitter denied Ye access to his account following an anti-Semitic post. Instagram also restricted access to Ye’s account in October after he posted a screenshot of a text between him and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing Diddy of being controlled by Jewish people.

While Ye returned to Twitter in recent weeks, his latest suspension appears to be permanent. “I did my best,” says Elon Musk. “Despite this, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account is suspended.”

Ye also posted a non-complimentary photo of Elon Musk shortly before his suspension Musk for clarification “for his account to be suspended for inciting violence, not an unflattering photo of me being hosed down by Ari.”

Ye also planned to buy Parler, a social media site that bills itself as a “free speech” alternative to Twitter. Parliament Technologies, Parler’s parent company, confirmed on Thursday that Ye will no longer be buying the platform. The announcement came shortly after Ye went on an anti-Semitic diatribe during his appearance on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ Infowars. program. Ye also praised Adolf Hitler on the show, saying “I see good things about Hitler.”

Ye has shown increasing support for right-wing causes in recent years and last week met with former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago along with white nationalist Nick Fuentes. Ye was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016 and went public about his mental health issues in a 2019 interview with David Letterman.
